Though born in the Midwest, Mindy grew up in the South and since her teens has claimed Alabama as her home. She graduated with a degree in Public Relations and Professional Writing from the University of South Alabama in 2005. Her passion for marketing and events led her to move toward the sales and marketing role in real estate, first as a relocation specialist, and then into real estate and event marketing before landing in insurance.

Mindy previously worked in insurance marketing for the country’s second largest wholesaler in Birmingham, but her heart was always at the beach. In 2013 she and her husband “moved on home” to Orange Beach to be closer to family, friends, and the beaches they love. She subsequently joined South Shore Insurance in February 2014, and has made herself known as the smiling voice on the phone when our retailers call for assistance. Mindy works primarily in renewal processing and policy issuance.

When she’s not at the office, Mindy stays involved in her community and enjoys fishing (usually unsuccessfully) with her husband, shopping (usually too much) and doing calligraphy.  She’s also continually on the hunt for the best grilled grouper sandwich on the coast… and welcomes suggestions. ​
